The Honda Civic family picks up two wins at the Auto Express new car awards 2023

The Honda Civic family has picked up two award wins and is commended in a third category at the 2023 Auto Express New Car Awards. The Honda Civic e:HEV was named Affordable Hybrid Car of the Year and nominated in the Family Car of the Year category whilst the iconic Type R was crowned Hot Hatch of the Year.

In its 11th generation, the Civic e:HEV launched as part of the vehicle's 50th year anniversary celebrations. The Civic e:HEV is a dynamic, self-charging, full hybrid hatchback that has evolved in both comfort and drivability and continues to champion a sporty design with a new dynamic, electrified powertrain.
The Type R followed suit and was launched in its 25th anniversary year. In its sixth generation, the car has been refined and engineered to deliver the most exhilarating Civic Type R performance to date.
The Auto Express New Car Awards highlight the best in class in 25 categories. For the past 12 months, Auto Express' expert panel have been testing all the new cars available to buy in the UK and taking into consideration the way owners use them and need them to perform in order to crown their winners.
