Met Police buy 117 Civic Hybrids
THE BIGGEST fleet deal for hybrid cars has been placed by the London Metropolitan Police.
The force has ordered 117 Honda Civic Hybrids which are being leased through the Lex 'Emergency Services VT fleet'.
The cars are contracted for a 2-year, 24,000-mile period and will be used increase police presence on the streets. Officers will use the cars to travel from their operational bases to the start of their foot patrols.
