Sneeze screens have been installed at every desk

Trident Honda is delighted to announce the re-opening of its Ottershaw Honda Showroom from this morning, 1st June, in line with government guidelines. Previously operating on-line and by phone only, our sales team is now able to arrange showroom appointments and test drives, including for the fabulous new 2021 Honda Jazz - more on this below.

Meanwhile our Service department continues to increase capacity, with another furloughed technician returning this week, and is taking bookings from all customers; although keyworkers continue to be given priority.

Our Shell filling station remains open on our temporarily reduced hours of 6AM to 9PM.

This page outlines the measures that we have taken to keep customers, contractors, employees and other visitors to Trident Honda safe, to let you know what to expect when you visit us, and to seek your cooperation in conducting our business safely.

Key changes

  • Hand sanitising stations at each entry and exit
  • One-way system to minimise congestion in the showroom
  • Floor signage to indicate route and to mark safe distance from staff
  • Sneeze screens at every desk
  • Showroom doors open to maintain ventilation
  • New office cleaning protocol, which now includes overnight sanitisation of all dealership touchpoints
  • Designated staff responsible for sanitising all dealership and forecourt touchpoints three times a day
  • Segregation of customer and staff toilets, with customer toilets unlocked and sanitised before each customer use
  • Gloves and masks made available to staff when required
  • Sanitising touchpoints on cars before handing over to customer
  • Restricted numbers of staff, to ensure social distancing is practical
  • All staff informed about the need for frequent hand washing, social distancing and sanitisation requirements

What to expect when you arrive

We apologise that we are currently unable to offer tea and coffee in our showroom, until such time as we are confident of being able to provide this service safely.

In these unprecedented times, we need to ensure both your safety and that of our staff. Please read and follow these instructions:

  • Before leaving your home, please:
    • Check that you do not have a high temperature, persistent cough, loss of taste or smell, or other COVID-19 symptoms
    • If you suspect you may have COVID-19, please stay at home and contact NHS 111, or 999 if an emergency
    • If you are a considered a vulnerable person for COVID-19, please consider whether your visit is necessary and urgent, and ensure that you inform our staff before you depart
    • If you will be waiting for your car, please consider bringing along a book or electronic device, as we are unable to provide newspapers or magazines, owing to the risk of infection
    • Dress appropriately for the weather - as we are currently keeping the showroom doors open as much as possible
    • Come alone if possible, or with one other person at most
  • On arrival, please:
    • Enter through the showroom door at the left hand side of the dealership
    • Sanitise your hands at the sanitising station in front of you
    • Follow the arrows on the floor to the Service desks
    • Keep at least two metres away from staff and other customers
    • Stay behind the line in front of the Service desks
    • Remove your Honda key from your key ring
  • If waiting for your car, please:
    • Choose the emptiest of our two customer waiting areas
    • Stay at least two metres away from other customers
  • On departure, please:
    • Follow the arrows on the floor to the showroom door at the right hand side of the dealership
    • Keep at least two metres away from staff and other customers
    • Sanitise your hands at the sanitising station to the left of the exit
    • Walk along the pavement in front of our showroom, back to the Service car park
    • Your car will have been sanitised before being returned to you

Trident Honda Ottershaw has now re-opened for new and used Honda Sales, but only by phone and on-line at present, as Car Showrooms are not permitted to open until Monday 1st June.

Full shelves at Trident Ottershaw

Further to our recent closure of our Honda showroom, Trident Honda has now shortened its Shell filling station opening hours to 6AM to 9PM. Previously operating on a 24hr basis, this decision has become necessary as it has proven increasingly difficult to find staff to cover the shifts.

Our Service and Parts departments remain open at the current time, on normal hours, but this is under constant review. Our Car Sales department is closed until further notice.

We wish all our customers the best of health in this difficult times.

Following tonight's Coronavirus announcement by the Prime Minister, Trident Honda has closed its Ottershaw Showroom with immediate effect.

Our service and parts departments and Shell filling station and convenience store will remain open.

All staff, including showroom, are requested to come in as usual.
