The Rebuilding of Trident Ottershaw and the Creation of a Modern Dealership

Trident Garages Ltd at Ottershaw was comprehensively rebuilt, marking a decisive step away from its earlier premises and establishing a thoroughly modern dealership for its time.

The new showroom created an immediate impression. Finished with a high-quality white tiled floor with a distinctive black fleck, it offered a bright, contemporary space that reflected the changing expectations of both customers and manufacturers in the late 20th century.

The redevelopment also introduced a proper retail parts department, dedicated service reception and customer waiting area, bringing a more organised and customer-focused approach to the business.

To the rear, a large, state-of-the-art workshop was constructed, providing the capacity and equipment needed to support the British Leyland franchise.
