Honda triumphs with hat-trick in the annual MPG Marathon:

  • 16 year old Insight comes second overall, taking highest in the heritage category
  • Driver Paul Clifton claims second overall win at annual MPG Marathon

Team Honda has triumphed in the annual MPG Marathon taking home a hat-trick of titles. The Civic diesel hatchback claimed the overall winner's prize in this year's event as well as best percentage improvement on MPG, while the first generation 17 year old Honda Insight took second place overall and winner in the heritage category.

Honda will unveil a cleaner, higher quality Insight hybrid at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

The revised 5-door hatchback will have lower CO2 emissions of 96g/km, achieved through enhanced aerodynamics and powertrain efficiency. Reduced engine friction, changes to the CVT transmission and improved air conditioning all contribute to lower fuel consumption.

The 2019 Honda CR-V Hybrid

Honda has confirmed pricing, specification and grades for the 2019 Honda CR-V hybrid:

  • Pricing to start from £29,105 for entry level 2WD and top out at £37,255 for top spec AWD
  • Grades follow petrol version with S, SE, SR and EX
  • PCP pricing to follow in December

Honda UK has released details of the grades, specification and pricing of the CR-V hybrid. Following the launch of the petrol version in the summer, the hybrid is expected in dealerships from February next year and will start from £29,105 for a 2WD S grade and top out at £37,255 for an AWD EX.

After 12 frustrating years for both ourselves and local community, the council have recognised the problem that was caused by erecting the bollards along the boundary with our site and are now working to correct the problem.

Whilst the council had always accepted our right to have vehicle deliveries, they had wrongly calculated that there would be sufficient space for both a vehicle transporter and the normal traffic. Although that is indeed the case for cars and motorcycles, there is insufficient space for vans and lorries, which then causes the delays that we all know so well.
