The Trident team sets of from Brighton

The Downslink Challenge is celebrating a huge milestone, after 6 years, organisers have smashed through their £100k fundraising target this month. The epic annual event, which sees entrants cycle from Knaphill to Brighton for charity, was sponsored for the sixth consecutive year by Trident Honda.

This year saw the birth of the 'ProEdition', which offered cyclists a huge 128 miles of cycling for the first time along the old Downslink Railway and river & canal systems locally. For those cyclists that didn't feel as venturesome, they pedalled along the railway route for 50 or 100 miles.

Further evolved from the previous system, Honda SENSING 360 features an expanded sensing range not only in the front and rear, but omnidirectionally around the vehicle.

Honda Showcases Automated Driving Technology at its World Congress 2021

Honda is showcasing the brand's self-driving technology at ITS World Congress 2021, as part of the L3Pilot automated driving project. The EU-driven initiative, a joint effort of 34 partners from 12 countries, is assessing the viability of SAE Level 3 and 4 self-driving functions on ordinary roads, with Honda providing four Honda AD research vehicles to support the research program. The vehicles are based on the platform of Honda's Legend executive saloon.

Drawing on its world-leading expertise in autonomous technologies, the Honda R&D Europe team focused on two research scenarios 'Traffic Jam Chauffeur' and 'Motorway Chauffeur', covering over 25,900km of testing on German roads.

Woking Open Tennis Tournament Sponsored by Trident Honda

The Woking Open Tennis Tournament was back, and bigger than ever this summer, with Trident Honda as headline sponsor. This prestigious event, which dates back to 1927 was hosted at the Woking Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club between 25th to 31st July.

The 93rd Woking Open Tennis Tournament welcomed around 300 participants, from U8s to Womens and Mens' events, with families and local residents lending their support from the side lines. Sponsored by Trident Honda, the all-electric Honda e was also in attendance.

Trident Honda have a wheelie good time raising money on the Downslink Challenge

After six successful years, Trident Honda is once again lending its support to the Downslink Challenge in 2021.

The event, where entrants cycle from Knaphill to Brighton, is back and bigger than ever before. Kicking off earlier this month on the 5th July, the challenge will continue throughout the summer, culminating with the main event on 4th September.

With this year promising to be the toughest yet, participants can pedal fifty or one hundred miles along the old Downslink railway and this year marks the inaugural 'Century' ride, which offers riders a huge 128 miles of cycling.
