Please remember to wear a face mask when you visit Trident Honda!
Since 24th July it has been a requirement of the UK government for all customers to wear a face covering in shops and supermarkets, with fines of up to £100 for failing to comply.
This has caused some confusion for our customers, as to whether or not our Honda showroom and Shell filling station are shops
.
The legal advice that we have now been given is that the likelihood is that both premises are indeed classed as shops, at least for the purposes of these new rules.

Honda benchmarked this EV against bigger cars for refinement, and it most definitely shows.
Altogether, driving the E is an uplifting experience, which shows a new way for small cars - or at least for small cars that weigh 1.5 tonnes…

We currently operate from two sites - one in Weybridge and the other in Ottershaw. Our Weybridge site, being right in the centre of the town, is becoming increasingly constrained by its size, lack of parking space, and inability to accommodate transporter deliveries.
Our Ottershaw site, on the other hand, is larger, in a less built-up location, and enjoys much greater capacity and ease of access. It also operates a petrol forecourt and is well located on the A320, very close to the M25, and less than 4 miles from Weybridge Town Centre.
We have therefore decided to merge all our operations onto the Ottershaw site.

McLaren-Honda is delighted to announce its new driver line-up for 2015: Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button. Kevin Magnussen will remain an important part of the team, as test and reserve driver.
All three men will play crucial roles in re-establishing the ascendancy of one of global sport's most iconic unions, for McLaren and Honda have already formed one of the most dominant partnerships in motorsport history: Honda broke new ground in the 1980s by creating a turbocharged engine that was unparalleled in both its output and its efficiency. In 1988, the partnership created arguably the single most successful Formula 1 car of all time: the all-conquering McLaren-Honda MP4/4, which was driven to victory by Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost in an amazing 15 of the season's 16 grands prix.

After 12 frustrating years for both ourselves and local community, the council have recognised the problem that was caused by erecting the bollards along the boundary with our site and are now working to correct the problem.
Whilst the council had always accepted our right to have vehicle deliveries, they had wrongly calculated that there would be sufficient space for both a vehicle transporter and the normal traffic.
Although that is indeed the case for cars and motorcycles, there is insufficient space for vans and lorries, which then causes the delays that we all know so well.

RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) has a useful page on Winter driving.
Driving in the winter is very different than in other times of the year.
Adverse weather and longer periods of darkness (especially after the clocks go back at the end of October) makes driving more hazardous.
Sometimes conditions can be extreme, as we have found out over the last two winters in particular, with prolonged periods of heavy snow and floods.
This means that we need to adapt the way we drive.

If you don't want to change your current car, there are still ways you can drive greener:
Lose Some Weight
Don't drive around with unnecessary weight in your car - the engine will have to work harder and use more fuel.
Empty your car of anything that you don't need to carry around all the time.
Remove roof boxes and roof racks when you're not using them - they cause extra aerodynamic drag, which will raise your fuel consumption.
Open windows and sunroofs do the same; and for the same reason, get any loose items of external trim fixed.

Following customer feedback on our customer car parking, we held a meeting to review ways of improving our parking. One result of this meeting was the introduction of a valet parking attendant at peak times. This was launched on Thursday 3 May and is proving very popular with our customers, as well as improving the general parking.
Weybridge has a more serious problem, given the town centre location and the limited space available, and we are therefore recruiting a full-time parking attendant. We hope to have this new member of staff available in the coming weeks and feel sure that this will greatly improve the customer experience on arrival.
