Honda has unveiled an all-new ASIMO humanoid robot with a world-first technology allowing ASIMO to move without being controlled by an operator. With significantly improved intelligence and the physical ability to adapt to situations, ASIMO has taken another step closer to practical use in an office or public space.

Honda has also introduced a new task-performing robot arm. This experimental model was developed while applying multi-joint and posture control technologies to ASIMO. This robot arm can be controlled remotely to perform tasks in places which are difficult for people to access.

Team Trident Honda once again took part in the Woking Swimathon on Sunday 23rd October, swimming 115 lengths (comfortably beating the 100 lengths swum last year!) and raising over £250 for local charities.

The annual event was started by the Mayor of Woking, Councillor Ken Howard, and attended by Stephen Henderson, Dealer Principal here at Trident Honda. Trident Honda were delighted to once again sponsor this year's Swimathon.

Honda has revealed prices for the new 2012 Civic will range from £16,495 OTR for the entry-level 1.4-litre 100PS i-VTEC SE and from £26,595 OTR for the top of the range Civic 2.2 i-DTEC EX GT. The car will also be available in the familiar SE, ES, EX and EX GT trim levels offering customers generous equipment as standard.

The new 2012 Civic was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show last month and order books at Honda dealerships are now open with cars arriving in dealerships during January.

Cars may be more reliable in 2011, but breakdown services remain a valuable source of help - and peace of mind - for motorists. Which? asked 7,366 drivers to rate the service they received when they called for roadside rescue.

They found Honda's Hondacare Assistance is the best carmaker-branded cover. Its excellent 77% overall score puts it well ahead of Club Toyota (67%) and Mazda European Assistance (64%). 'Premium' makes fare less well. BMW (47%), Land Rover (46%) and Mercedes (44%) occupy the bottom three places in our table.
