Honda has developed a plant-based material to be used as a fabric in car interiors. The new fabric offsets all CO2 emissions produced during the disposal stage of the car, through the CO2 absorption that occurs naturally during the growth of the plants that are used as raw materials.
The new fabric will be first introduced into Honda's new fuel cell vehicle, the Honda FCX, which will be launched within the next three years. Honda says that the fabric could be used for seat surfaces as well as for the interior surfaces of the car.

Honda's S-2000 has come out on top for the second year running in the Auto Express Drive Power 2006 reliability survey. The study, which reveals the best and worst cars in the UK according to over 46,000 motorists, gave the S-2000 a satisfaction rating of 92.6%, beating off competition from the brand's other models the Accord and Jazz.

Chris Burkitt has joined Weybridge as Aftersales Manager. Chris replaces David Herridge who leaves later this month. During his time with us at Thames Ditton, Chris proved himself a most capable Aftersales Manager, and we are delighted he has chosen to rejoin the Trident Honda Team.

After discussions with Honda, it has been determined that, due to their franchising territory plan for the Thames Ditton territory, we will be selling our assets at Thames Ditton to Thames Honda; who operate a number of surrounding sites.
Going forward, it has been agreed that we will operate the area from Weybridge and Walton across to Staines, Chobham, Camberley and Woking; which in itself is a great territory.
