Honda e first Japanese car to win German Car Of The Year

Honda's first battery electric vehicle for Europe, the Honda e, has been named 'German Car of the Year 2021' in the country's prestigious annual Car of the Year Awards, becoming the first vehicle from a Japanese brand to do so. The car also won in the 'New Energy' category.

A rigorous round of real-world testing dubbed the ‘MPG Marathon’ has once again underlined the impressive fuel-efficiency of the new Honda Civic 1.6 i-DTEC.

In the test of 23 cars driven by independent journalists and company car drivers on UK roads, the Civic took third place for overall mpg, behind the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic and Renault Clio Dynamique - both much smaller cars than the Honda.

Trident Honda extends sponsorship of Weybridge Vandals to include a large pitch-side banner

After 16 years of sponsoring the Weybridge Vandals Rugby Club, this year sees Trident Honda extend its sponsorship to include a large pitch-side banner (see photo).

With 2021 seeing Honda become the Performance Partner and Official Vehicle of England Rugby in a long-term, multi-year deal, and with England's Pennyhill Park training base renamed the 'Honda England Rugby Performance Centre' as part of the arrangement, we saw it as time to step up our support of the Weybridge Vandals.

Trident Honda

On behalf of Rotary Club of Woking, the Managing Director of Trident Honda, Richard Roberts, and Rotary President Michael Watson, presented cheques totalling £13,000 to five local charities from the proceeds of generous public donations to last year's Swimathon 2012 sponsored teams event. Trident Honda, who have sponsored this annual fundraising event since its inception in 2008, has raised £62,000 over the last 5 years benefiting 19 local charities in Woking.

Trident at The Old Forge

Trident Honda is delighted to announce that it took over the former Anvil Autos site, on Thursday 17th December 2020.

This historic site will give us a visible presence on the busy Otter roundabout, as well as providing us with much needed display space for our extensive selection of Honda Approved Used Cars. The workshop, once a blacksmith's (see History below), will be used for additional vehicle preparation space for our ever-busy Honda dealership.

Trident Honda

The Accord i-DTEC automatic will go on sale in January 2009 priced from £22,400. Honda will launch its first automatic transmission for a diesel engine in 2009, with the new gearbox featuring in the Accord.

The Japanese manufacturer expects automatic transmission in the Accord to appeal to a new segment of customers, particularly in the corporate market, where it considers high mileage user choosers often will only consider an automatic transmission.
