Honda has unveiled the new Honda SENSING 360 omnidirectional safety and driver-assistive system which removes blind spots around the vehicle and contributes to collision avoidance and the reduction of driver burden while driving. Further evolved from the previous system, Honda SENSING 360 features an expanded sensing range not only in the front and rear, but omnidirectionally around the vehicle.

The British-built Honda Civic has been given a refresh with a range of cosmetic enhancements for 2011. The updates and additions are designed to enhance the striking appearance and passenger comfort of the car at no extra cost to the customer.

Production for the 2011 Honda Civic begins at the Swindon manufacturing plant in November 2010 with prices starting from £13,995 for the 1.4 Type S.

Honda plans to boost its hybrid car sales with the launch of a new accessibly priced model next year, which it expects to sell 200,000 units of annually. The announcement came from Honda Motor Co CEO Takeo Fukui's mid-year address. The company will seek to further accelerate its hybrid sales by introducing a hybrid based on its Honda CR-Z, a new Civic Hybrid and the addition of a Jazz Hybrid model. With all four of these models, Honda expects combined annual sales of its hybrid models to reach 500,000 units.

Commemorating the last of the current Civic Type R to come off the production line, the Black Edition is limited to the last 100 cars and Honda is expecting it to become a true collector's item, and we now have one here at Trident Honda.

The Civic Type R Black Edition features a predominantly black interior with red accents which add to the premium cabin feel, while the exterior is differentiated from the standard version by red rear wing end plates on the spoiler.

The popular Honda Jazz has been given a refresh, with a range of enhancements to both the looks and driving dynamics. The revised Jazz range, which will include a hybrid model, goes on sale in the UK on 1 February 2011, with prices starting from £11,295 for the 1.2 S model and £15,995 for the Hybrid variant in HE trim.

The challenge for Honda's engineers was to freshen and improve the car without compromising on the characteristics that make the Jazz so popular. But by enhancing the car's strongest qualities, Honda has taken the Jazz on to the next stage, producing a car with greater flexibility, better looks, increased ride comfort and improved eco credentials.

Honda has unveiled the sixth generation of its best-selling SUV, the CR-V, which is set to raise the bar for design, practicality, and everyday usability when it arrives later this year.

Wider, longer and taller than the outgoing model, the new CR-V will be offered with a choice of either a full hybrid (e:HEV) or, for the first time in Europe, a plug-in hybrid (e:PHEV).
