The Honda CR-V Hybrid

Since the introduction of the first-generation model in 1995, the Honda CR-V has continuously improved throughout each generation. In a first for a Honda SUV in Europe, the all-new Honda CR-V will be available with advanced hybrid powertrain technology.

The new model raises the bar in terms of interior quality, sophistication and spaciousness. It delivers improved ride quality, steering response, body control and NVH management. Evolved in every way, the all-new CR-V delivers more comfort, convenience and connectivity than ever before.

The Aure family collect their new 7-seater Honda CR-V

On Friday Mr & Mrs Aure collected their new 2019 Honda CR-V 7-seater, the first ever 7-seater CR-V to be sold by Trident Honda. It was particularly special, as the Aure family were replacing their Honda FR-V, bought from us ten years ago - and the last Honda sold in the UK with more than five seats.

The magnificent seven

The new CR-V keeps its effortless 'one-motion' folding rear seat and also offers the option of a third row, with two extra seats, on selected petrol grades. When not in use the seats fold neatly away.

Ahead of its European show debut at the 2018 Mondial Paris Motor Show, Honda has confirmed official fuel economy and CO2 emissions for the all-new CR-V Hybrid. Under the combined cycle of the revised NEDC test, the front-wheel drive model of the 184 PS (135 kW) petrol-electric SUV has achieved CO2 emissions of 120g/km and official average (combined) fuel economy of 5.3l/100km (53.3mpg). The all-wheel drive CR-V Hybrid variant has CO2 emissions of 126g/km and average (combined) fuel economy of 5.5 l/100km (51.4 mpg).

The CR-V Hybrid is driven by Honda's unique i-MMD technology, which intelligently and automatically switches between three driving modes - EV Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive - to optimise both performance and efficiency.

How Honda Hybrid works

In a first for a Honda SUV in Europe, the all-new CR-V will be available with advanced hybrid powertrain technology. The Honda Hybrid Performance system features intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) technology comprising two electric motors, an Atkinson-cycle petrol engine and an innovative direct transmission delivering high levels of efficiency and refinement.

Key facts

Mr Kobal gives a thumbs-up from the seat of his new Honda CR-V

We are delighted to announce that we have now handed over our first 2019 Honda CR-V. Mr Kobal has chosen a 1.5 i-VTEC SR - a wise choice, as the SR model now includes as standard many of the features that were previously only available on the EX model.

This new 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine offers much better performance than the 2.0 litre petrol of the previous generation CR-V - not only faster, but more relaxed and more economical.

There was much excitement yesterday, as our new Honda CR-Vs rolled off the transporters, just in time for today's launch event. Not only is this our first all-new CR-V in 3 years, but it also benefits from new engines, a Hybrid model, and a 7 seater version. If that wasn't enough, it also includes a wealth of technological improvements, including Honda SENSING, and even a Head-Up display.
