It's been a long year. A lot of waiting, not a lot of doing. But we are now delighted to announce that our Honda Showroom in Ottershaw will be re-open in the morning, Monday 12th April 2021, in-line with Government guidance. Please visit our opening hours page for details.

After so much same-old-same-old, as things get back to normal, it's time for something new.

We believe that Trident Honda is a very special business indeed. Established in 1963 by Michael Roberts, Trident Honda is today managed by his sons - Richard is our managing director, Christopher is our finance and IT director and James is our director of used car operations.

Trident Honda is delighted to announce that it took over the former Anvil Autos site, on Thursday 17th December 2020.

This historic site will give us a visible presence on the busy Otter roundabout, as well as providing us with much needed display space for our extensive selection of Honda Approved Used Cars. The workshop, once a blacksmith's (see History below), will be used for additional vehicle preparation space for our ever-busy Honda dealership.

We are delighted to announce that our Honda Showroom in Ottershaw has re-opened this morning, after the end of the second COVID-19 national lockdown.

Ottershaw is currently in Tier Two, which has enabled us to fully open again in all departments; although our opening hours on Sundays remain by appointment for the time being.

Since 24th July it has been a requirement of the UK government for all customers to wear a face covering in shops and supermarkets, with fines of up to £100 for failing to comply.

This has caused some confusion for our customers, as to whether or not our Honda showroom and Shell filling station are shops. The legal advice that we have now been given is that the likelihood is that both premises are indeed classed as shops, at least for the purposes of these new rules.

Trident Honda is delighted to announce that it will be re-opening its Honda Showroom on Sundays, between 10am and 4pm, with immediate effect.

Since our last update, we have seen strong demand for the new Honda Jazz and Jazz Crosstar, and huge interest in the stunning new Honda e. Better still, the Honda Summer Event has made our range even more affordable. As result, we have been able to return our final sales executive from furlough, and this was the last change needed to enable Sunday opening, and a return to our pre-COVID-19 Opening Hours.

We have also been able to bring back our showroom receptionists, to improve our telephone answering, and bring back our much-missed showroom coffee!

Trident Honda has enjoyed a remarkable bounce-back since the COVID-19 lockdown, with more cars sold last week than in the same period last year - no doubt helped by the launch of the fabulous 2021 Honda Jazz and Jazz Crosstar, and the arrival of the simply stunning Honda e. It is a similar picture in our Service Department, with sales running at around 98% of our 2019 average.

Trident Honda has this morning re-opened its Service and Parts departments, with a small team of technicians to support NHS and other key-workers, as well as the urgent requirements of our customers.

Strictly by appointment only: The dealership remains closed to the public and is operating by-appointment only. Our Sales operation continues to be on-line only.

Our Shell filling station remains open, but on the reduced hours of 6AM to 9PM.

We are sad to announce that we have decided to temporarily close our Ottershaw dealership from close of business today, Friday 27th March, until the end of the current government COVID-19 Coronavirus lock-down.

Further to our recent closure of our Honda showroom, Trident Honda has now shortened its Shell filling station opening hours to 6AM to 9PM. Previously operating on a 24hr basis, this decision has become necessary as it has proven increasingly difficult to find staff to cover the shifts.

Our Service and Parts departments remain open at the current time, on normal hours, but this is under constant review. Our Car Sales department is closed until further notice.

We wish all our customers the best of health in this difficult times.

Following tonight's Coronavirus announcement by the Prime Minister, Trident Honda has closed its Ottershaw Showroom with immediate effect.

Our service and parts departments and Shell filling station and convenience store will remain open.

All staff, including showroom, are requested to come in as usual.

COVID-19 is probably causing you some concern; so we wanted to reassure you that at Trident Honda, we have taken all appropriate measures to protect our customers.

After a week of crippling roadworks in Ottershaw, for emergency gas main repairs, thankfully the team at Cadent Gas have changed the road closures to a one-way system starting at the Otter roundabout and continuing to the McLaren roundabout.

The new one-way system is now in operation, as follows:

We understand that the roadworks are complete, but the newly laid tarmac needs to cure overnight. We have been informed by Surrey County Council that the road will be definitely re-opened in time for rush hour tomorrow morning.

We have just been notified that the A320 Guildford Road in Ottershaw will be closed tomorrow, for emergency sewerage works. We have been assured that access to Trident Honda and the Shell filling stations will be maintained throughout via the Ottershaw roundabout.

Verbally we have been told that this will be in place until next week, although Surrey County Council are currently stating until 20th November.

Feedback from our customers has been clear -- we are not always the easiest company to contact by telephone. This led to our recent apology for our phone problems and we are pleased to announce that we have now terminated early our contract with Vodafone One Net and have now gone live with a new phone system from Foehn Ltd.

We believe that that the new system will make an enormous difference to our customer service. There will inevitably be some teething problems and we would like to thank you for your patience, whilst the new system beds in and our staff get used to the differences.
